Alex & Sye in Independence
Sye and Alex called from Independence, where they arrived yesterday to resupply and wait for mail delivery. They sounded great - still full of energy! Independence is a small town located east of the PCT route through Kings Canyon National Park. Tomorrow they will hitch a ride and hike back to the PCT and continue north to Tuolumne meadow in Yosemite, hoping to arrive there July 1. The longest days of summer to enjoy the high Sierras - cheers!

Just wanted to say Hi...Zine office is quiet these days cos its summer and school's out. John's also on vacation (happy Miami and Whistler times), Lindsay quit -- she's out in Alaska for the whole summer at that national park out there (I dont remember the name:P) and we got a pretty new crew of folks here at the WZ!
The new Ziners are awesome -- they are kicking my butt cos they are sooo enthusiastic and curious about whats going on in the world, and real open w sharing their thoughts and writings w one another, which I absolutely love!!
Anyways, hope all's well w you. Sending you lotsa hydration and stamina from Zine
